However, the Odisha Government’s groundbreaking initiative, B-MAAN, aims to break these barriers and provide wings to their dreams.

Under this initiative, the Airline Cadet Pilot Program (CPP) will be launched at Birasal Airstrip, Dhenkanal, offering young tribal aspirants, especially girls, the chance to pursue aviation careers—a field traditionally dominated by men. This program symbolizes a shift towards inclusivity, offering these young women a platform to rise above societal norms and achieve greatness.

Key Highlights of the Program

✔ Training for 15 Tribal Youths Annually: The program will focus on training 15 tribal youth every year, with priority given to girls, ensuring they receive the skills and knowledge needed for a career in aviation.

✔ Financial Support & Interest-Free Loans: Aspirants will be provided with interest-free loans through bank linkages, removing financial barriers and enabling them to focus on their training.

✔ ₹56.65 Crore Allocated Over 5 Years: The government has set aside ₹56.65 crore for five years, covering training, pre-screening, and selection costs, making the program accessible to those from economically weaker backgrounds.

✔ Opening Doors to Elite Aviation Careers: This initiative will help these young women secure careers in aviation, a highly prestigious and rewarding industry.

✔ Strengthening Odisha’s Global Aviation Presence: Through this initiative, Odisha aims to make its mark in the global aviation sector, contributing to the state’s skilled workforce under the Skilled-in-Odisha program.
