Celebrate the occasion with these five delectable chocolate dessert recipes that honor chocolate's rich history and deliciousness.

Recipes:

Chocolate Lava Cake:


Ingredients:

Ø  1/2 cup unsalted butter

Ø  4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate

Ø  1 cup powdered sugar

Ø  2 eggs

Ø  2 egg yolks

Ø  1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ø  1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Ø  Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Ø  Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease and flour four ramekins.

Ø  In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate together in short bursts, stirring until smooth.

Ø  Stir in powdered sugar until well combined.

Ø  Mix in eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Ø  Stir in flour and salt until just combined.

Ø  Divide batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.

Ø  24 ladyfinger cookies

Ø  1/4 cup cocoa powder

Instructions:

Ø  In another bowl, whisk mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Ø  1 cup whole milk

Ø  4 large egg yolks

Ø  6 large egg whites

Ø  Pinch of cream of tartar

Instructions:

Ø  Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Butter and sugar six ramekins, coating evenly.

Ø  In a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate together. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat.

Ø  Whisk in flour until combined. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.

Ø  Whisk in egg yolks one at a time until fully incorporated.

Ø  In a separate bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.

Ø  Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.

Ø  Gently fold egg whites into chocolate mixture until no streaks remain.

Ø  Divide batter evenly among prepared ramekins.
