India Embarks on Zimbabwe T20I Tour: Full Schedule, Squads, and Streaming Info

Young Indian Squad Gears Up for Five-Match T20I Series in Harare Starting July 6

Fresh from their T20 World Cup triumph in the Caribbean, Team India is set to tour Zimbabwe for a five-match T20I series beginning on July 6 in Harare. With veterans Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announcing their retirements from T20Is and other key players resting, a youthful Indian squad will take on Zimbabwe in five T20Is and three ODIs. Shubman Gill has been appointed as the captain for the series.

Following their World Cup commitments, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube will join the squad, alongside Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan, who were the travelling reserves during the T20 World Cup. Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana will join the squad for the first two T20Is before Jaiswal, Samson, and Dube fly to Harare.

The series marks the maiden senior national call-up for young IPL talents Abhishek Sharma, Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag, and Tushar Deshpande. Initially named in the squad, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was withdrawn due to injury, with Shivam Dube stepping in as his replacement.

With Rahul Dravid stepping down as head coach, VVS Laxman will serve as the interim coach for the Zimbabwe tour. All matches will be held at the Harare Sports Club.
