All Eyes on Reasi: Terror Attack Causes Tragic Bus Plunge!

Nine Pilgrims Dead, 33 Injured on Way to Shiv Khori Cave Temple!

Nine people were killed and 33 injured after a bus full of pilgrims, attacked by terrorists, plunged into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district this evening. The bus was en route to the Shiv Khori cave temple when it came under fire, causing the driver to lose control and the vehicle to fall into the gorge. "Nine pilgrims have died and 33 are injured," Vishesh Mahajan, District Magistrate of Reasi, told NDTV. Reasi's Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Sharma, explained that the driver lost control due to the firing.

Initial reports indicate that terrorists fired upon the passenger bus, leading to the tragic incident. The identities of the passengers have not been confirmed yet, but it is known that they are not locals. The Shiv Khori shrine was secured and area domination was carried out following the attack. Local residents were seen assisting in rescue operations, with ambulances lined up to transport the injured. Police, army, and paramilitary forces were promptly dispatched to the scene.

This attack signifies a significant escalation in violence in the region, as Reasi district has been relatively untouched by terrorist activities compared to its neighboring districts, Rajouri and Poonch.
