'Kisan Nidhi' as Prime Minister for Third Consecutive Term
In a monumental event, Narendra Modi took the oath of office as India's Prime Minister for the third consecutive term on June 9, marking the beginning of Modi Cabinet 3.0. The new coalition government, comprising 71 ministers, held its inaugural meeting on Monday. During the ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Modi and his Cabinet, which includes 30 Cabinet Ministers, five Ministers of State (Independent Charge), and 36 Ministers of State.
Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala
Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar, all part of the Modi 2.0 Cabinet, were among
those sworn in as cabinet ministers, signifying continuity and stability in
governance. Notably, Narendra Modi's re-election marks a historic feat, making
him the first Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to serve three consecutive
terms.
The ceremony, attended by political stalwarts, business leaders, celebrities, and dignitaries, witnessed the swearing-in of a diverse Council of Ministers, including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, and others. Key allies, such as JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy and TDP's K Ram Mohan Naidu, were also sworn in, underscoring the coalition's strength and unity.
The event garnered international attention, with leaders from neighbouring countries and beyond, including Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Seychelles, Bhutan, Nepal, and Mauritius, gracing the occasion, reaffirming India's global significance and diplomatic ties.
